About  Ved P Joshi:
Pandit Joshi hails from Pithorgarh, Kumaon in India. Though he was born in a Brahmin family, as a youth he was not trained in Sanskrit. Later, he acquired a passion for learning about the Hindu heritage and religious rites. His parents were primarily instrumental in inspiring him to pursue and imbibe ancient Hindu traditions and texts.

Joshiji acquired the prestigious Shastri degree from the National Sanskrit Institute in Delhi. Not settling with this accomplishment, he went on acquired the Acharya degree from the prestigious Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vidyalaya. Joshiji's thirst for knowledge was not yet quenched. He further pursued his studies and got the Sahitya Ratna from Prayag. Amazingly, after all this Panditji was also able to acquire an MA degree in Hindi Journalism from Gurukul Kangari.

Joshiji is also a Sangeet Visharad. His expertise with the harmonium, dholak and vocals add an element of completeness to renditions of the Ramayana, Hanuman Chalisa and other recitals.

Joshiji then spent over 15 years in various holy places in the Himalayas and a substantial period of time in Hardwar where on the banks of the Holy Ganges he gained deeper insights into the relevance of the Hindu scriptures through spiritual sadhana. While spending time in the mountains he also undertook strict penance and meditated on Lord Shiva and Mata Bhagvati. This gave him immense internal strength and closeness to nature. He went extended periods of time consuming just fruits, milk and water in the high altitudes of the Himalayas. While there he spent two months on the Devguru Mountain and in Vaishnodevi Mountains for over 6 months.

With over 25 years of experience, Joshiji is well equipped with the arsenal for inspiring people to follow the right path. In addition to being a learned scholar, he is a very good orator and an extremely good singer too. His dedicated and thorough pooja ceremonies, melodious voice and finally an informal satsang (group discussion) captivates all.
